GOES ON STAND TO REPUDIATE CONFESSION

Denies Promissing Pay for Murder of Husband

Said She Made Statement Introduced Yesterday When She Was in a Dazed and Irresponsible Condition

SEATTLE, May 20 - Mrs. Magdalena Werner, on trial for the murder of her husband, a farmer, near Issaquah, went on the witness stand today and repudiated her alleged confession, which was offered by the prosecution yesterday. The confession, written and signed, said that Mrs. Werner employed Frank Piconi to kill her husband. Mrs. Werner denied making the confession and said that at the time she is alleged to have made it she was in a dazed and irresponsible condition. Mrs. Werner is 26 years old, 30 years younger than her husband, with whom she had lived unhappily.
