Biography[edit]
A niece of Phoebe Wade, and 1st cousin to Mary Cecilia Rogers, she and her sister Clementina Othelia Mather were the daughters of Lay Mather and Caroline Wade. Lay Mather was the brother of Capt. Ezra Mather, the first husband of Phoebe Wade; and Carolina Wade was the sister of Phoebe Wade.
