Case File: Mary Cecilia Rogers
SUICIDE OF DANIEL C. PAYNE - This young man, the affianced husband of Mary C. Rogers, was found dead at Hoboken, yesterday, near the place where she is supposed to have been murdered. HIs throat was cut. He had been seen a short time previous at the Hotel, contiguous without his hat, apparently in a frenzied state. It is said, papers have been found upon him, shewing some connection with the murder of Miss Rogers; but this we doubt. It is probably an added mystery of the sensation press.
