LIZZIE HALLIDAY’S TOOTHACHES - Thinks She Would Look Better With Her Teeth Out and so Shams Toothache
Lizzie Halliday is bothering the physicians of the Matteawan Hospital on an entirely new line. She is shamming toothaches, and says that every tooth in her head must come out before she can have any rest. She has manifested great concern about her personal appearance for some time, and is possessed of the idea that false teeth would add to her attractiveness.
The physicians at the hospital say that her teeth are perfectly sound. In fact, physically or mentally, the woman was never in better condition. Her slight hallucinations and cravings for blood occur at stated periods and are of short duration. Between these times she is entirely rational.
Dr. Allison has made a close study of the woman and thinks he understands her case thoroughly.
