DRIVEN WEST BY
THE WHITE PLAGUE
-----
CANNOT SURVIVE IN
THIS COUNTRY
-----

Knowing that he is a victim of the white plague, Edward Mailahn, the oldest son of a family of seven, who with a little brother, were the only members of the family to escape the horrible tragedy on the farm in Binghamton two years ago, has decided to dispose of his farm property and some household goods at auction Thursday, September 11, and go to the western climate where he thinks he will have a chance to shake off the plague. Since the tragedy he has been taking care of the farm, but his condition becamse steadily worse until he found that he would have to move. His farm is situated one mile south and one mile west of Binghamton in the town of Center and he is desirous of having a large crowd so as to dispose of all of the goods on the place in order to leave the country at once.
