Drowned - In the Oswegatchie River, at this village, on Saturday evening last, Mr. Samuel Havens, of Blake Lake. It appears that Havens had a scuffle on the bridge with three men by the names of Fleighl, Abbey, and Ranney - and that during the affray he was either by accident or intentionally, precipitated from the bridge into the river. His body was found after being under water about two hours. A jury of inquest decided that he came to his death in consequence of being so stunned by the blows he received in the affray as to fall from the bridge. Freighl, Abbey, and Ranney, have been examined, and committed for trial.
