In 1895 the literary genius Oscar Wilde was confronted and publicly antagonized by the brutish John Sholto Douglas, 9th Marquess of Queensberry - the father of Oscar's lover Alfred Bruce "Bosie" Douglas. When Oscar filed a case of libel against the Marquess, it would start a domino effect that lead to his downfall and eventual death.
