NUMBER 98} EXTRACT

8. Pursuant to authority contained in letter, Head-quarters Second Corps Area, (343.2-Rctg.O) dated April 25, 1929, the enlisted men, now casually at this station, named on the attached list, which is a part of this order, having enlisted for the Panama Canal Department, will proceed on May 2, 1929, to the United States Army Transport "SOMME", reporting upon arrival to the Commanding Officer, U.S. Troops abroad, for transportation to Cristobal, Canal Zone.

The Quartermaster Corps will furnish the necessary harbor boat transportation. The journeys are necessary for the public service. By order of Major LOCKWOOD:
