[[Case File: Mary Cecilia Rogers]] What Are We Coming to Next? - Far famed as are the cigar establishments of [[John Anderson (1812-1881)|Mr. Anderson]] (Nos. 309 and 321 Broadway), we had no idea that his celebrity would so soon have reached other and distant lands, as to induce Emperors, and Sultans, and Pachas, to send hither for their supplies of the favorite weed. But so it is, however, that those almost perpetual smokes have selected him as their regular eaterer in the cigar maker; and within a few days past he has sent, through the agency of the American Consuls at Grand Cairo, and other foreign ports, several hundred dollars worth of his distinguished foreign funcionaries. As far as we can learn, these connoisseurs could not have appointed a better or more worth purveyor, both as regards the uniform excellence of his importations and the moderate charges he makes on cost. His stores are well worthy the patronage of the cigar loving community generally.
